About Me

My Passion

My passion for education began early, rooted in a strong interest in child development and learning. In 2014, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Georgia Southern University and began my journey in the classroom—teaching kindergarten, first grade, and third grade over the course of five years.

These experiences gave me valuable insight into early childhood education, differentiated instruction, and how to create a positive and effective learning environment. I gained hands-on experience developing lessons, using data to drive instruction, and supporting students with diverse academic and emotional needs.

To deepen my impact, I pursued a Master of Science in Education with a specialization in Reading and Literacy from Walden University. This advanced training helped me strengthen my skills in literacy intervention, reading assessment, and evidence-based practices to help students become confident, independent readers.

I am especially passionate about closing the literacy gap and supporting students in reaching grade-level proficiency by the end of third grade. I believe reading is the foundation of all future learning, and I’m committed to equipping students with the tools they need to succeed.

In addition to my classroom experience, I bring skills in curriculum planning, educational technology integration, and collaboration with families and staff. My goal is to continue growing as an educator and making a lasting impact on student learning and development.
